Using today's tools to increase quality and safety

Before the generative AI craze of 2022 I would wireframe and code simple HTML and CSS prototypes, often manually, as a means of communicating a user experience. When these tools came online I started using them for the same purpose. This became known as "prompt engineering" and more recently/colloquially "vibe coding."

Soapboxing here for a moment: I have an economics degree, so I am deeply aware that automation has been threatening to replace labor for centuries. Historically that has not happened. It has, however, led to much safer workplaces and higher quality (albeit monolithic) outputs. We should think of genAI the same way.
